I am so in love with Buffalo Plaid! I think everyone is, by the way, it is everywhere in the marketplace. It, however, does not match my home decor…even for the holidays, so when I found gray gingham, I was over the moon.  I made a pillow for myself, and then had a friend ask me to make a couple for her, and then brought some to a boutique..and a few more special orders ensued.  Seriously my most popular item outside gift tags!

 

I have one left, that is pre-done, and can probably eek out a few more special orders before the holidays (although working on some fun ones that can be left out throughout the year!).

Acceptable Forms of ID for Notarizations

Effective January 1, 2017, Assembly Bill 2566, in conjunction with Senate Bill 997 amends Civil Code Section 1185, making the following changes:
 

Foreign passports are no longer required to have a current visa stamp from USCIS or DHS.

A valid consular identification card issued by a consulate from the applicant’s country of citizenship now acceptable.

An ID card issued by a federally recognized tribal government is now acceptable.

Notary Fees changing January 1, 2017

With the passing of AB2217 and signed into law by Governor Brown and recorded with the Secretary of State on August 17, 2016, our fees for signatures will be increasing on January 1, 2017. The fee schedule will be as follows:

-For taking an acknowledgment or proof of a deed, or other instrument, to include the seal and the writing of the certificate, the sum of fifteen dollars ($15) for each signature taken.
-For administering an oath or affirmation to one person and executing the jurat, including the seal, the sum of fifteen dollars ($15).
-For certifying a copy of a power of attorney under Section 4307 of the Probate Code the sum of fifteen dollars ($15)

Our travel fees will remain unchanged at this time.

This post will remain pinned until January 1st, at that time we will update our fee schedule on our notary page.

The Answer is always…Wine?

That was the response from one of my customers when I used this cute stamp from Sweet Stamp Shop on her packaging! Lately..i tend to agree..although my caffeine withdrawal migraines might beg to differ.

Regardless of your choice..this stamp set is too cute and can be used…for so many applications.  Here I used it to give a bottle of wine to a girlfriend who has just had  another setback with her broken tibia& fibula from a March skiing accident! She might not be able to bear weight..but she can sit and drink wine !

Copic Shortage

As you may have heard  with the increased popularity of Copic markers within the crafting community, there’s been a bit of a Copic shortage as Copic has not been able to keep up production with demand. They’ve started production in a new facility, but when you’re working with color, consistency is key and production has been slow to ramp up as they insure that color and ink consistency meet their standards. As some of you have experienced with your custom ink orders, our distributor has not been able to fulfill many of the orders that we drop ship to you.  If you’re interested in the premade sets, they still are able to fulfill many of those.

As always our prices are 25-35% below MSRP on the Copics! Email us for your color or set preference.

As the type of marker (sketch,original or Ciao) is a personal preference we do not carry stock of these in house, unless it’s for a specific class.

As always we can only ship Copics within the 48 continuous states.
